When Winner lost it all...

The goal of the life can change in a moment... The world can become shining at one second and can come crashing in next. The real thing is to find 'what next' after such crucial junctures.

As a professional we all aspire to achieve the ultimate in our careers, but do we really know what the ultimate it OR what we will do after we have that. To take shot at such situation, we can take example of an Olympic athlete.

An athlete start and ends his (not to be gender specific but just to elaborate) day for that one moment.. the glory... the applaud... the world at his feet... the GOLD.... He put his mind, body and soul for the final line and the win that follows. But what happens to him after he makes to the skies... He feels blank and reacts to the opinions and appreciations rendered by others. He has no meaning to wake up the next morning. He takes no look at life after the glory and so often ends up as a failure in personal life. This has been proven by many and yet no one prepares him for so called blankness after the win. This is the moment when he wins in front of everyone and he loses everything as an individual.

To relate this with my experience, I take one step further. It took a hard toll on his body and the coach has warned the athlete that he may never be able to run again. The athlete get the news of a mistake committed by someone else during the race. The race will be conducted again and the winner will be decided in rerun.

He has nothing left to run the race and has lost what he gained yesterday. The world turns dark and blurred with clouds of sadness coming from all corners. The one thing he had in his fist is also gone. The one thing with which he could have fought all the obstacles in his personal life. Now he has nothing but a sorry from everyone... The looks of people say it all, 'Someone who had it all to loose due to someone else's mistake'. The destiny is devil's pawn as it can leave you blank even when you are winner or when you lose everything.

Enjoy the path to ultimate because you may never enjoy the ultimate.... Tryst with Destiny is bitter-sweet moment which leave us with nothing.. It gives us a lot to aspire but takes even more to achieve...
